In the latest surge of violence, Israel has resumed its military attacks on the Gaza Strip, prompting a strong condemnation from Bangladesh.

The Government of Bangladesh expressed deep concern over the escalating aggression, with a sharp warning about the dire humanitarian impact on civilians, including women and children.

Bangladesh’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in a statement issued on Wednesday, voiced its serious disapproval of Israel’s renewed military actions.

“The Government of Bangladesh expresses its strong condemnation and deep concern over the resumption of Israeli military aggression in the Gaza Strip,” the statement said.

The ministry highlighted that the recent attack has led to significant loss of innocent lives, exacerbating an already catastrophic humanitarian crisis in the region. The statement emphasized,

"This new wave of violence is a clear violation of international humanitarian law and shows a blatant disregard for the ceasefire agreement."

Bangladesh also condemned the continued airstrikes in civilian areas, describing the situation as “humanitarian suffering.”

The Ministry added, "Bangladesh unequivocally condemns the continued indiscriminate airstrikes by Israeli occupation forces in densely populated civilian areas, which have exacerbated humanitarian suffering and led to devastating consequences for the vulnerable Palestinian population."

In its appeal, Bangladesh urged Israel to immediately cease military operations and respect international humanitarian obligations.

“The Government of Bangladesh calls on Israel to immediately halt all military operations, exercise maximum restraint, and respect its obligations under international humanitarian law,” the statement further stressed.

Moreover, Bangladesh has called on the international community, especially the United Nations, to step up efforts to ensure a ceasefire, safeguard civilian lives, and facilitate continuous humanitarian assistance to the people of Gaza.

The statement appealed to the global community, saying, "Bangladesh calls on the international community, particularly the United Nations, to take urgent and decisive actions to ensure a ceasefire, protect the lives of civilians, and ensure uninterrupted humanitarian aid reaches the besieged people of Gaza."

Reiterating its solidarity with the Palestinian people, Bangladesh reaffirmed its support for their legitimate rights, including their right to self-determination and the establishment of an independent Palestinian state.

"In line with its principled stance on justice and human rights, Bangladesh reiterates its unwavering support for the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people. This includes their right to self-determination and the establishment of an independent and sovereign Palestinian state along the pre-1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital."

The statement also highlighted the need to renew dialogue aimed at finding a long-lasting peace solution in the Middle East.

Bangladesh emphasized the urgency of restoring talks, stating, "Bangladesh underscores the need for resuming dialogue aimed at achieving comprehensive, just, and lasting peace in the Middle East, which is essential for ensuring regional and global stability."

In closing, Bangladesh urged all parties involved to prioritize diplomacy and peaceful resolutions to end the suffering of the Palestinian people, reaffirming its commitment to working with the global community.

"Bangladesh calls on all parties to prioritize diplomacy and peaceful means to end the ongoing violence and suffering inflicted on the Palestinian people," the ministry concluded.

With the situation in Gaza worsening, Bangladesh’s call for an end to violence and urgent international intervention comes as a strong message that peace and stability in the Middle East cannot be achieved through military aggression but through dialogue and respect for humanitarian laws.
